HERE IT COMES

An excerpt from a book I recently read:

The earth is God's pinball machine and each quake, tidal wave, flash flood and volcanic eruption is the result of a TILT that occrs when God, cheating, tries to win free games.

A hurricane is on it's way to Mississippi, or maybe it will hit Louisiana. The only amusing thing about this is watching the newscasters attempting to pronounce the names of towns. Names such as Biloxi, Bi-locks-e, as in lox and bagels. Metaire became Met-air. This one is going to be ugly, I can tell. I should be ashamed that the only thing which comes to mind when I see the radar is the children's song whose lyrics are 'swim little fishies, swim if you can, and they swam and they swam all over the dam'.

Down in the meadow in a little bitty pool
Swam three little fishies and a mama fishie too
"Swim" said the mama fishie, "Swim if you can"
And they swam and they swam all over the dam

And quick as they could, they turned on their tails
And back to the pool in the meadow they swam
